JDC Bumper Quick Release Kit | 2015-2021 WRX/STI

Fix bumper sag and make front bumper removal easier with the JDC Bumper Quick Release Kit for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX and STI. This fitment-specific kit securely holds the bumper in position while allowing quicker removal for maintenance, modifications, detailing, or track days.

Each mounting bracket is made from high-strength 6061 aluminum and is designed to support over 150 pounds. Multiple configurations are available, allowing you to choose the bracket and hardware setup that best matches your build.

Optional JDC Titanium mounting hardware is available for added corrosion resistance and a custom anodized finish.

Authenticity & Warranty

  • We source all of our quick-release latches directly from Quik-Latch, the original manufacturer and patent holder of this design. Each latch features a unique serial number laser-etched on the back, allowing you to verify that it is an authentic Quik-Latch product.
  • Be cautious of the replica and knockoff latches currently flooding the market. They may work initially, but the cheaper materials and lower manufacturing standards can cause premature wear or failure over time.
  • If you ever experience an issue with your authentic Quik-Latch hardware, contact us, and we’ll help arrange a free warranty replacement.

Mounting hardware (Select stainless or titanium)

  1. Remove the plastic bumper retaining bracket.
  2. Install the brackets according to the display pictures.
  3. Install the ball pins and use a dab of paint or a marker to line up the bumper to drill the holes in the center of each pin.
  4. Once you have the small pilot hole drilled and centered on the ball pins, drill the hole to 3/4" and insert the latches.
  5. Adjust the ball pins as needed to make the bumper sit flush with the fender.
  6. The driver side has a hole for the bottom 90° support bracket to mount, but you will need to drill a hole on the passenger side if you decide to use the support bracket. For most applications, the support bracket isn't needed, so this is optional.

Please Note: If you are not comfortable drilling permanent holes in your bumper, please have a professional help! JD Customs USA is not liable for any damages that may occur during the installation or use of this product.

Colored Titanium:

  • All titanium is colored to order unless otherwise stated on the item listing. Please see the banner at the top of the website for the current estimated lead times. Production time can vary depending on your order size, products ordered, and the difficulty of custom options requested.

Bare Titanium/Stainless Steel:

  • In-stock items have a processing time of 3-5 business days.

For orders without titanium, our average processing time is 2-4 business days.

JDC Titanium hardware is backed by a Lifetime Finish Warranty covering fading or discoloration of standard JDC titanium finishes. This warranty applies specifically to qualifying JDC titanium hardware products. Products featuring custom logos, artwork, or special designs may not qualify for standard no-charge refinishing and could require a refinishing fee. Warranty does not cover discoloration due to improper use of chemicals.
