JDC Titanium Cam Position Sensor Heat Shield (Evo X)

The cam position sensor on the Evo X is on the backside of the motor within inches of the exhaust manifold. The high temperatures of the exhaust manifold can cause premature failure of the expensive sensor, especially if you have an aftermarket exhaust manifold without the factory heat shield. The JDC Titanium heat shield does a great job at protecting the cam position sensor from the excess heat of the exhaust manifold.

(1) Custom Titanium Bolt for Installation

Installation is very simple. Locate your cam position sensor on the backside of the valve cover area and remove the factory bolt as seen in the display pictures. Put the heat shield in its place and secure it with the new titanium mounting hardware and you're done!

How Do I Keep My Titanium Products Looking Brand New?

Installing: Wear gloves when installing titanium parts to prevent oils from your hands causing a "faded" look. After installation, clean the part before applying heat to avoid baking oils onto the surface.

Cleaning: Use our JDC Titanium Cleaner, designed to safely clean titanium without damaging the finish. Alternatively, clean with soapy water, a microfiber towel, or Windex, rubbing alcohol, or Clorox wipes.

Avoid: Harsh chemicals like water spot remover, engine degreaser, brake cleaner, metal polish, or acidic cleaners—they can damage the oxidized layer and remove the color.

Tip: Always clean when parts are cool to avoid water spots or tarnished finishes.
