JDC Titanium Beadlock and 3-Piece Wheel Hardware | Universal

Make sure to follow the manufacturer's provided torque specs for your specific wheels. Beadlock and 3-piece hardware may have different torque specs.

Make sure you are using the correct unit of measurement and do not confuse foot-pounds (ft-lbs.) with inch-pounds (in-lbs.)

1. Install all beadlock bolts finger tight before tightening.
2. Tighten bolts in a star / crisscross pattern to ensure even clamping.
3. Torque bolts in multiple stages (ex: 5 ft-lb → 10 ft-lb → final torque).
4. Final torque typically ~18 ft-lb for most beadlock hardware (verify with your wheel manufacturer).
5. Use anti-seize or light oil on threads for accurate torque and to prevent galling.
6. Re-check bolt torque after the first 25–50 miles of driving.

• Do not use an impact gun—always torque with a torque wrench.

For beadlock hardware: Make sure your beadlock ring is perfectly centered on the wheel before torquing. Occasionally a beadlock ring will be off-centered and this can cause the flange of the bolts to not sit centered.

A simple trick most people don’t know that makes beadlock installs much easier is using a few temporary “guide” bolts to pre-seat the ring.

The Guide Bolt Trick

1. Install the tire and beadlock ring normally.
   
2. Pick 4 bolts spaced evenly around the wheel (12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions).
   
3. Replace those with longer bolts of the same thread (about 2–3× longer).
   
4. Tighten those four bolts slowly to pull the ring down evenly.
   
5. Once the ring is seated and the bead is compressed, install the rest of the bolts finger tight.
   
6. Remove the long bolts one at a time and replace them with the correct bolts.
7. Now torque everything in the normal star pattern.

When the tire bead is thick, the ring wants to sit crooked and fight the bolts.

The longer bolts act like clamps, compressing the bead first so the normal bolts start easily.

This prevents:

• Cross-threading bolts
• Stripping aluminum threads
• The ring bending while you try to start bolts
