Universal Bumper Quick Release Fitment
This is a universal bumper quick release system and is not a vehicle-specific bolt-on kit. Some vehicles have an existing mounting location on the fender, headlight bracket, or surrounding structure that can be used for the Quik-Latch ball pin.
Other vehicles may require a custom mounting bracket or fabrication to position the ball pin correctly behind the bumper. Fitment and installation requirements will vary depending on the vehicle.
Important Installation Information
No vehicle-specific mounting brackets are included. Before drilling into your bumper, verify that the ball pin can be mounted to a secure location and properly aligned with the quick release button.
Custom fabrication may be required depending on the vehicle. If you're unsure whether your vehicle has an appropriate mounting location, carefully inspect the area behind the bumper before ordering or beginning installation.
What Does a Bumper Quick Release Do?
A bumper quick release creates an additional attachment point between the bumper and the vehicle while allowing the bumper to be disconnected quickly when needed. This can help support bumper corners that sag or repeatedly pop out of their factory retainers while also making bumper removal more convenient.
For lowered vehicles, a quick release bumper setup can be especially useful when the bumper needs to be removed before loading the vehicle onto a trailer or accessing components behind the bumper.
Authentic Quik-Latch Hardware
JDC sources these quick release latches directly from Quik-Latch, the original manufacturer and patent holder of the design. Each latch includes a unique serial number laser etched on the back so its authenticity can be verified.
Replica quick release buttons may look similar, but differences in materials and manufacturing quality can lead to premature wear or failure. If you experience an issue with authentic Quik-Latch hardware purchased with your JDC kit, contact us and we'll help arrange a warranty replacement.

I bought new quick release buttons with titanium pins and absolutely love them. Before, I had cheap chinese buttons from Amazon that always ended up malfunctioning which led to constant bumper damage. If your bumper protrudes from the fender after installing the kit, all you need to do is screw the ball pin a little further into the bracket until it fits flush.
