KW DDC Coilovers | BMW Z4 G29 / Toyota GR Supra

Lower your BMW Z4 or Toyota GR Supra without giving up the adaptive suspension system you paid for. The KW DDC Plug & Play Coilover Kit combines adjustable ride height and KW-engineered handling with full integration into the vehicle's factory electronic damping system.

Unlike conventional coilovers that require the factory adaptive dampers to be electronically disabled, the KW DDC system replaces the original electronic struts with KW INOX-LINE stainless steel coilovers that connect directly to the factory wiring. The vehicle recognizes the KW dampers through the original electronics, allowing you to continue using the factory suspension controls and available driving modes from inside the car.

For owners who want the stance and handling benefits of a true KW coilover system without sacrificing factory adaptive suspension functionality, the DDC Plug & Play is one of the most complete suspension solutions available for the G29 Z4 and A90/A91 GR Supra platform.

Keep Your Factory Adaptive Suspension Controls

The biggest advantage of the KW DDC Plug & Play system is right in the name. It integrates with the factory electronic damping system rather than replacing it with a fixed or manually adjusted damper.

During installation, the factory electronic dampers are removed and replaced with KW DDC dampers. The KW system then connects using the vehicle's original electronic connections.

Once installed, the factory controls continue to change the suspension behavior just as they did with the original dampers. Available modes depend on the specific vehicle and factory configuration.

Why DDC Instead of Conventional Coilovers?

Installing conventional coilovers on a vehicle equipped with adaptive suspension often means disabling or bypassing the electronic damper system. That can eliminate one of the features that makes the Z4 and GR Supra so versatile.

KW DDC gives you the best of both worlds: a height-adjustable performance suspension with damping that remains integrated into the vehicle.

  • Lower the vehicle to achieve your preferred ride height
  • Retain factory electronic damper control
  • Change suspension behavior using the vehicle's original controls
  • Maintain normal factory displays and suspension functionality
  • No separate aftermarket suspension controller required

KW DDC Technology

KW developed Dynamic Damping Control specifically for vehicles equipped with electronically controlled suspension systems. The technology allows the dampers to respond electronically while benefiting from KW's vehicle-specific suspension development and coilover construction.

This gives the car the ability to remain more comfortable when desired while providing a firmer, more controlled response when the selected driving mode calls for it.

KW INOX-LINE Stainless Steel Construction

The DDC system uses KW's INOX-LINE stainless steel coilover construction. Beyond its corrosion resistance, the stainless steel construction helps protect the threaded height-adjustment system from the dirt, moisture, road salt, and changing weather conditions a street-driven vehicle experiences.

Ride height can be individually adjusted within KW's tested adjustment range, allowing you to dial in the stance while retaining the suspension geometry and operating range KW engineered for the vehicle.

Designed Around the Z4 and GR Supra Chassis

The G29 BMW Z4 and A90/A91 Toyota GR Supra share an extremely capable chassis, and replacing the factory suspension should improve the way the car works rather than remove useful factory features.

KW's DDC system is designed specifically for drivers who want to lower the car and sharpen its suspension response while preserving the adaptive damping functionality built into the vehicle.

That makes this kit especially well suited to a street-driven Supra or Z4 that sees everything from commuting and long-distance driving to aggressive back-road driving and occasional performance use.

Why Buy Your KW Suspension From JD Customs USA?

Suspension is one area where choosing the correct part matters just as much as choosing a quality brand. Adaptive suspension compatibility, ride-height goals, wheel and tire setup, and how the vehicle will actually be driven should all be considered before ordering.

JD Customs USA specializes in performance parts for enthusiast vehicles like the GR Supra and BMW Z4. Rather than simply giving you a part number, we want you to understand what you're buying, why this DDC system is different from a conventional coilover, and whether it is the correct suspension for your specific vehicle.

If you have questions about electronic damper compatibility, fitment, ride height, supporting suspension modifications, or how this kit fits into the rest of your build, our team can help before you place the order.

Installation

The factory electronically controlled dampers are replaced with the KW DDC coilover components, which connect to the vehicle's onboard electronics using the original connections. No separate aftermarket suspension controller is required.

Because proper suspension installation, ride-height adjustment, and alignment are critical to vehicle handling and tire wear, professional installation and a four-wheel alignment are recommended.
