Mitsubishi Evo X (CZ4A) Suspension & Handling FAQ's

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

What coilover spring rates work for a dual-purpose Evo X?

Balanced street/track setups typically run near 8–10 kg/mm front and rear with digressive damping. Align for more negative camber on track tires.

Do sway bars help rotate the Evo X without making it twitchy?

A stiffer rear bar aids rotation; tune balance with tire choice and alignment. Avoid excessive front bar stiffness that can reduce grip over bumps.

Are camber plates needed with lowering springs on the Evo X?

If you want >-1.5° front camber, camber plates are recommended. They also help correct roll center and improve tire wear under load.
