Öhlins warrants qualifying Öhlins products against defects when used under normal operating conditions as described below. All warranty must be processed through the original place of purchase.

If the product was purchased through a retail location or another website, please go there to process your warranty.  If the product was purchased directly from Öhlins on this website, please follow the steps outlined here.

5-Year Limited Warranty

All Öhlins products for the automotive, motorcycle and mountain bike segments (in each case, except as otherwise provided herein), carry a 5-Year Limited Warranty against defects in materials or workmanship (except finish).

2-Year Limited Warranty

All (1) Öhlins products for the Automotive Road & Track segment, (2) Motorcycle MX products and (3) Enduro products (in each case, except as otherwise provided herein), carry a 2-Year Limited Warranty against defects in materials or workmanship (except finish).
ALL ÖHLINS PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED FOR, OR OTHERWISE USED IN, ANY RACING APPLICATIONS ARE SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDED FROM ANY WARRANTY.
Öhlins’ obligation under these warranties is limited to repair or replacement (in Öhlins’ discretion) of the defective product or part (in the case of replacement, with a comparable Öhlins product) in accordance with these warranties.  Cost of removal and installation are not included, and any incidental and consequential damages are excluded under these warranties, regardless of when the failure occurs. These warranties have no cash value.

To make a claim under these warranties, return the defective product or part with the dated original receipt to the dealer or retailer from whom it was purchased.  These warranties do not apply to purchases made through unauthorized retailers/dealers including unauthorized online sellers.  Öhlins has no way to confirm the authenticity and quality of products sold through unauthorized resellers and is not obligated to honor warranty claims when purchased from an unauthorized individual, unauthorized retailer/dealer, or unauthorized online retailer.

These warranties do not apply to: (i) any other costs, including costs of removal, installation, diagnostic time, and any other expenses arising out of replacing the product; (ii) products which have been installed on non-catalogued applications; (iii) products that are new, unused or show signs of normal wear but not defective; (iv) products which have been misused, modified, altered, improperly applied, installed or maintained; (v) product damaged in an accident or by fire, weather, or any other force majeure event or hazard; (vi) products which have been installed on vehicles used for commercial, fleet, Governmental or racing purposes or damaged due to vehicle modifications; (vii) obsolete products no longer available from Öhlins; and (viii) non-genuine Öhlins branded product or competitive products.

Öhlins will not accept any returns and is not responsible for any claims related to circumstances and products described in the preceding sentence. All warranties, express or implied, are disclaimed if not stated herein. Any implied warranties you may have under state law are limited to the same duration and other terms as these warranties to the extent permissible.

You must notify Öhlins of any warranty claim within a reasonable amount of time from discovery of the issue.  The time periods for warranties above run from the date of sale.
The warranties described herein are the only compensation available to customer and consequently no compensation shall be paid for personal injury, financial damage (including but not limited to loss of profit or revenue, or damage on other property than the product itself.  Repair or exchange of products or spare parts does not prolong the time of warranty or set a new time of the warranty.
Öhlins will contact warranty-serviced consumers to conduct customer satisfaction surveys relating to product and warranty service. Survey activity will provide valuable feedback and help measure the level of consumer satisfaction in different markets.
