Below are some common questions regarding the JDC shipping protection that we offer.

What is JDC Shipping Protection?

Protecting your order with JDC Shipping Protection covers loss or damage during transit. For just 2.5% of your order’s total value, we’ll offer you a refund or replacement right away—no need to wait for long courier claims!

What if I didn’t purchase JDC Shipping Protection?

If an issue occurs, we’ll help you file a claim through the courier. If the couriers GPS or photo proof confirms the item was delivered, or left in a secure location, we are not responsible for a refund or replacement.

What DOES JDC Shipping Protection cover?

Lost Packages:

  • Tracking shows “Delivered” but you haven’t received it (please wait up to 7 business days — it might be at a neighbor’s or in a secure spot).

  • Tracking hasn’t updated for 14 days (US) or 30 days (International).

If the network is known to be delayed (e.g., holidays), we may wait a bit longer before issuing a resolution.

Damaged Packages:

  • Parts arrive bent, scratched, or broken.

  • Items are missing because the box was damaged or opened in transit.

Be sure to contact us immediately at support@jdcustomsusa.com with clear photos of the damaged item(s) and shipping box.

What DOESN’T JDC Shipping Protection cover?
  • Incorrect addresses entered by the customer.
  • Transit delays or unshipped orders.
  • Packages stuck in customs or customs refusal.
  • Items returned in unsellable condition.
  • Damage or loss reported more than 15 days after delivery.
  • Unprotected parcels — you’ll need to follow the courier’s claim process.
What if I think my package was stolen?

If your tracking says “Delivered” but you suspect theft, contact us ASAP. We’ll review the situation and determine next steps based on the details provided. This is handled case by case.

When should I file a claim?
  • Damaged items: Must be reported within 15 days of delivery.

  • Lost items: Claims can be filed after 20 days (US) or 40 days (International) from the ship date.

  • Claims must be submitted within 120 days of the ship date.

Important: Please keep all original packaging and items until your claim is fully resolved. Disposing of packaging may result in a denied claim.

How can I submit a lost/stolen package claim?

 Email support@jdcustomsusa.com with the subject line: 

CLAIM for order #JDC[YourOrderNumber]

Please include:

  • A brief description of the issue
  • Photos of the damaged item(s) and packaging

We’ll respond within 1–2 business days.

What happens after I submit a claim?

If your claim is approved:

  • Replacements will be sent with signature required.
  • All refunds will be issued as store credit.
  • If the lost item shows up later, we’ll send you a return label to send it back.
