Installing

When installing titanium parts, we recommend wearing gloves to avoid getting oils from your hands on the surface — when oils bake into titanium, it can make the finish look dull or faded. No stress if it happens; just clean the part before any heat hits it to keep your titanium looking vibrant and clean.

How to Clean Titanium the Right Way

How to Clean Your Titanium the Right Way

We always recommend cleaning your titanium parts with our JDC Titanium Cleaner — it’s specially designed just for titanium parts! If you don’t have it handy, no worries: use soapy water and a microfiber towel, or gently wipe with Windex, rubbing alcohol, or a Clorox wipe.

What NOT to use:

Avoid harsh stuff like water spot removers, engine degreasers, brake cleaners, metal polish, or any acidic cleaners — these can strip off the anodized color and leave your titanium dull or bare.

Pro Tip:

Always make sure your parts are completely cool before cleaning. Spraying water or cleaner on a hot part can cause stubborn water spots that are tough to remove without risking the finish. Treat it right and it’ll stay looking fresh for years!

Can I put any coatings on titanium to protect the colors?

The short answer is No. The reason titanium is so beautiful is because the coloring you are seeing is caused by the light hitting the titanium directly. Any kind of coating causes the titanium to look "hazy" or dull. Trust us, we have tried just about everything you can think of.

Warranty Information

JD Customs USA does not warranty the color finish on any part, but we will recolor any titanium part we sell for up to one year from purchase. If the part must be recolored due to improper care or cleaning, there will be an additional service fee applied depending on the size and quantity of parts. The buyer will be responsible for paying shipping both ways. This applies to the original buyer only.
