Difference Between a Digital Electronic Boost Controller and a Manual Turbo Pressure Regulator

A digital electronic boost controller uses a solenoid as its control unit, which is compatible with both internal and external wastegates. Through the controller, it adjusts the solenoid valve's airflow and pressure. The system also includes a display that monitors boost pressure in real time, allowing for on-the-fly tuning adjustments, such as during dyno testing.

Key Components:

◆ Feedback Unit:
Uses a pressure sensor to detect intake pressure and sends the data to the display, enabling precise monitoring and calculation of the current boost level.

◆ User Interface Unit:
Allows users to configure initial boost pressure, target boost levels, and pressure release settings.

◆ Control Unit:
Regulates the solenoid valve’s frequency and manages airflow direction at different stages of turbo operation.

The Shadow Digital Electronic Boost Controller features real-time recording of peak boost pressure and offers three simultaneous display modes—waveform, LED light bar, and numeric readout—to present turbocharger data clearly. With a high-contrast OLED screen, drivers can easily read boost information in all lighting conditions, ensuring clear and intuitive operation.

The original shipping and handling charges are not refundable. International shipping charges are not covered under our warranty policy. Please mail your package in a prepaid, traceable method to the address on our contact page.  Be sure to include your full contact info including your phone # with anything you send us.If you are sending us something to check, we will inspect gauges and senders for free.  If they work to factory specs there will be a $6 fee (in the US) to ship the items back to you. International shipping rates will vary. Be sure to include your full name, address, email, phone number along with the product and the name it was ordered under. Any items left more than 90 days unclaimed are subject to disposal.

All Prosport Products come with a 1 year limited warranty starting from the date of purchase(non-transferable).Physical damage, improper installation, and alternating the product will void all warranties. In no event will Prosport Inc. be liable for anything over the original purchase price of the product. In no event will Prosport Inc. be responsible for any labor charges.  After 30 days shipping is not covered under warranty and becomes the responsibility of the customer.
