1990–1996 Nissan 300ZX Clutch & Drivetrain FAQ's

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Which clutch suits a street‑tuned or single‑turbo Z32?

Street builds ~300–450 whp like an organic or cerametallic twin‑disc for torque capacity with livable engagement. A lightweight flywheel sharpens response but can raise NVH.

Is the stock LSD adequate, and what about HICAS?

Healthy LSDs work well; TT models commonly have stronger driveline hardware. For track cars, many delete HICAS for simplicity and stability when lowering.

Do I need upgraded axles or driveshaft on higher power?

Hard launches and sticky tires stress aging axles. Upgraded axles and a balanced one‑piece driveshaft improve reliability as torque increases.
